Yeah, Yeah, Yeah

I know, I keep saying I will keep this updated but man oh man. Ive been busy but with nothing really noteworthy. Well that is until the past week or so.

If im just traveling for work then usually there isnt much to tell. Palm Springs, LA and Phoenix - nothing out of the ordinary.

However last week we took a little vacation to Tampa and Orlando for Derek's spring break. We went to Universal Studios and that was a LOT of fun. We rode almost every roller coaster/ride they had between the 2 parks. We especially liked the movie set themed areas such as the 50s, New Orleans and the movie set recreations were awesome. Twister was REALLY cool, they put you in a simulated tornado with all the special effects to go with them including high winds, rain, explosions and debris. Definitely a must see if you go. As was The Mummy Returns, that was a great indoor roller coaster. They dont hose you on the food prices either which surprised us! Of course Im not sure why we own a camera. We did remember to take it with us to Florida but it never came out of Derek's carry on bag. We did make the drive down to Clearwater and spent an hour on the beach where Kenny found some really cool shells. I found a couple and Derek picked up one too! Im not sure what Im going to do with them yet but I'll figure it out (THERESA.)

We got home last Wednesday and Thursday morning found me up early and at the rental place to get a sump pump and 150 feet of 2" hose. I proceeded to empty our swimming pool, scrub, scoop and generally clean/powerwash the pool (with the help of Derek and a friend of his - John) we got that done, I took the filter apart and found where it was broken, bought the new manifold and cleaned all that out and it was REALLY nasty. I also got all of the gaskets lubed up and hopefully this stuff wont get stuck again!

We had to bring in the big guns - aka Leeman - to get the cover off the little filter because Kenny, Derek and I could not get it lose ourselves. Im so glad he did because our next option was to either break the lid or cut the whole dang thing loose and install a new one. I also used the "leave sucker" (backwards leaf blower) to pick up the last of the leaves in the back and side yard, then swept and cleaned off the deck and pool deck and side deck off. I also emptied and cleaned out the shed and threw out a bunch of junk and in the process discovered that along with my bicycle being exposed all winter, my golf clubs (including my titleist driver) were ruined. I worked on my bike a few weekends ago and about have it back to complete working order, I just have to get a new rear brake cable.

Anyway that was pretty much my 4 day weekend working outside. I intended to clean house but by the time I was done I didnt have it in me!

Alright... so that brings you all up to date. I hope to post again sooner than a month but with me you never know!
