Well as you know working 2 jobs keeps me pretty busy. Things have picked up at work, we are starting a couple of new training initiatives which will make my life at ClubCorp a lot busier in the months to come. Its good and I hope it makes a difference.... our theme for 2008 is "From Good to Great in 08". The job I do with the University of North Texas always keeps me pretty busy as well. I am a teaching assistant for one of the professors there and he averages 100+ students a semester.
So I thought I was busy before until Thursday. As another co worker and I were working on a schedule to make some aggressive goals for the first half of the year, I received a call from the Dean from the School of Hospitality where I graduated in 1999 and still TA for. She asked if I was interested in teaching a class this semester... can you say WOW? I'd been asked once before to teach a class this time last year but with all the uncertainty of my job and still recovering from my surgery I declined but said ask me again in the future! Low and behold, they did and I said YES! So now I'm "Professor" for the first time. It should be a great learning experience for me and Im excited to see what the months ahead bring.
Derek is doing well, he's gearing up for Track season, this will be a first for him since he's always played Basketball and ran cross country. Since he didnt do the Bball thing this year, guess he's filling in with this. He's also on the Winter Drumline where they have a whole show and march like regular marching season. Since I have the new video camera I'll be able to shoot this myself! Im quite excited about that.
Kenny is doing well but hasnt managed to get out of town yet for the new year. Each time he plans a trip something manages to make him have to cancel. Next week included. Maybe he'll make it out of town by the last week of the month.
Take care, be safe and see you... uhm... iono when. With my pending schedule through May, I just dont know... I might end up like Theresa and be posting at midnight... My friend told me "sleep is so over rated," and I may just find that out myself!
