Howdy Folks!

Well. We are back home now. I cant necessarily say "happily" but hey... you cant stay in Paradise all the time can you? Then it wont be paradise anymore! The remainder of the week was much less eventful than our first full day on Oahu but we did get to see some Monster Waves on Friday, coming in ahead of some storms. The swells were between 12 and 18 feet just off the beach of our hotel. We got to see quite a few surfers out there but of course my camera was already packed up. I have yet to download what I took but I will get to that this week and post a few of the better ones.

Derek ran with the Varsity Cross Country group on Thursday and placed 53rd but he's not sure how many ran. They beat Haltom High School completely as a team!!!! Gotta LOVE THAT! He placed 3rd to the last for his School in the Varsity group so he seemed happy with that since this was only his 3rd meet ever to run. The Band received a Division 1 for their performance at Denton on Saturday... THEY DID A GREAT job! I really enjoyed seeing their changes from the last time I got to see them march from the "home" side of the field. They definitely deserved the scores they received.
