We had an absolute blast! If anyone is looking for a more than stellar experience on a vacation this is definitely the place to go! The rooms were wonderful and we had the basic room they offered! I understand the jr. suites had Jacuzzis in the room and I cant imagine what the ones up from that were like! We stayed at the Dreams Resort in Puerto Vallarta. It was all inclusive. They have stuff for little kids, teens and adults too! The beach was private and by that I mean, huge rocks/cliffs on each side so no one from a neighboring hotel could come over. They check who is coming in and out at all times, even if you are just going into town for some shopping or out to an excursion. Check it out if you are interested! The food was fantastic, they had entertainment most evenings, even a comedy show one night and a great rock and roll band in the sports bar that we really enjoyed.
They boys had fun playing ping pong, shooting pool, body surfing and of course eating. There was food available pretty much 24/7 including free room service. They werent shy about pouring alcohol either. 3 small margaritas on Friday afternoon and I was about drunk as a skunk. I think it was TEQUILA, TRIPPLE SEC and a very small squeeze of lime... the boys thought it was really funny to see me all giggly like that. Kenny was only slightly disappointed they didnt have Coors Light but he was ok with Modelo Light, it tasted a lot like Michelob Ultra and adding a squeeze of lime made it even better. They had plenty of Corona but that's not his favorite beer for sure.
We spent a lot of time sitting under the cabanas and enjoying the waves and relaxation. We didnt do any excursions but we could have gone on one of several canopy tours, 4 wheeler jungle excursions, horse back riding trips, snorkeling trips, deep sea fishing and even tequila factory tours where you get to try each of the tequilas from all of the manufacturers in the area.
We went into town a couple of times looking for the best deal on a good bottle of tequila, cheap/tax free cigarettes and souvenirs. We really lucked out in that department and were able to bring back a bottle of Don Julio Anjeo for $47, a bottle of Kahlua for $9.50 and a bottle of crown reserve for $28. Kenny also found some "cigars" for dad and a few of his friends, 5 for $60! We wandered into a couple of Farmacias and I was really surprised at what all you can buy down there! I think I was most shocked by the anabolic steroid syringes right there on the shelf! They had anything and everything you could imagine there from antibiotics, pain killers, stomach meds and migraine pills, all for a fraction and I mean FRACTION of the cost of what we pay here! If I'da taken our prescription bottles of Vicodin with us I would have gotten refills there for sure! I didnt want to chance bringing back something without a bottle that had one of our names on it! Sure as I had, I would have gotten caught for sure!
Anyway, we had a great and relaxing time and to prove it, here are a few pictures I took!
Now I dont want anyone falling over in a dead faint or anything but... I took 106 pictures, more but only 106 were good enough to keep. The link to the album is here...
I am also creating albums for other pictures I have taken on other trips so look for an email soon!

Now I'm jealous. I'd so love to go hang out on a beach some where. Although right now, my belly isn't exactly approved for public viewing....
I think it's so cool that ya'll took D's friend too.
Glad you got home safe.
