The weekend was busy, I spent Saturday doing a little of unplanned car shopping. After talking it over with Kenny we decided it was time for the PT cruiser to go. Its been in the shop 3 times so far this year with a rebuilt transmission, blown vacuum hose and the rear view mirror going out. Ive had the car now almost 2 years... a record since we've been married for sure! I went down and looked at Chrysler, Jeep and dodge vehicles and settled on the Caliber and the Jeep Liberty. We decided the Liberty was the better way to go. I also went and looked at the RX350 from Lexus and if the cruiser hadnt lost so MUCH value we probably would have gotten it. We were just too upside down in the cruiser and they didnt want to give us as much in trade that we needed. The dealer we bought Derek's truck from and the Cruiser from gave us a deal to good to pass up on it and a fantastic deal on the Liberty. Sooo, mom and dad are driving up to Hot Springs tomorrow to pick it up and leave off the cruiser. THANKS guys! I wouldnt be able to go get it myself before the 7th and I dont wanna wait that long! They are gonna spend a couple of days up there and bring it back on Thursday so maybe I'll get to drive it before we leave for Puerto Vallarta!
I will be taking the camera Theresa so I'll come back with pictures to post! Get well soon and I'll post when we get back! No internet in the hotel rooms so Im not taking my computer OR my cell phones! 5 days without, I'll probably go nuts.
Travel on Mondays are never exactly fun especially now that kids are out of school and families are traveling. Not that I mind having people checking in and going through security that dont exactly know what they need to do but heards of them tend to get on my nerves (and it seems the other experienced business travelers as well.) It was especially bad because they sent me out of the international terminal today so there were LOTS of vacationers who travel once or twice a year and are more interested in talking to their friends then paying attention to what they need to be doing. And if it wasnt bad enough, we get on the plane and then SIT THERE for 2 hours waiting to see if maintenance can fix a hook in the cargo hold that keeps cargo and luggage in the areas they are supposed to be in. They FINALLY figured out they couldnt fix the dang hook and proceeded to move cargo from one hold to another. Wish they had figured it out BEFORE we got on the plane! So, 5 hours later we finally landed in Orange County I was sure glad to get out of that plane seat! Someone remind me to get something to eat before getting on the plane next time would you? I didnt get to eat until 1:00 here which was 3:00 at home and since I didnt eat breakfast thinking, oh I'll be there at 10 which is 12 at home and my usual lunch time! Maybe I'll pay attention to my hunches a little better next time around!
Here is a picture of what Im getting... mine is white with tan leather interior, sun roof, fully loaded wooo hoo! Cute little car huh?
